Eric is with the Operations Planning & Control department
of a large global security company in Rolling Meadows, Illinois and is the
Manager of Material Requirements Planning (MRP). His organization is responsible for material planning
& analysis and for all the production programs.
Additionally Eric is the chair of the MRP council, comprised of multiple sites
throughout the US. The council provides professional network opportunity for MRP
Leadership, fostering organizational learning and awareness amongst the MRP
professionals to improve cross-site familiarity with business processes, people,
technologies & tools and align Corporate, Sector and Campus MRP initiatives and
Collaborative focus on: proven MRP principles; policy deployment, robust and
coordinated processes, improved communication and efficient execution of
requirements. Additionally focus on the development of realistic, achievable and
predictable schedules. Council activities include policy development,
performance metrics, continuous improvement and employee development.
The company provides security systems for domestic and foreign military
customers. Eric has over 37 years of experience in manufacturing and operations
management. He has held a variety of positions where he has been responsible for
managing manufacturing activities, production planning and scheduling, and
electronics testing. He has served as the Business Partner responsible for the
Procurement team in the conversion activities to SAPís production planning and
materials management modules.
Eric is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP); has an Associate of Science
Degree - Electronics, Bachelorís degree in Behavioral Sciences, and Master of
Science degree in Management.
Eric has been an active volunteer for APICS - The Association for Operations
Management. His active participation began locally in the Chicago chapter in
1997. He has volunteered regionally as the VP of Region 13 (Illinois & Indiana).
He also served as VP of Chapter Development, responsible for the continuous
development of a chapter network comprised of 203 chapters in North America and
Mexico. Eric has served on the APICS board of directors for eight years.
During that tenure, in addition to VP of Region 13, Chapter Development VP he
also served as Secretary/Treasurer, Chair-elect and Chairman, 2011. Currently
Eric is serving as a board member of the APICS
Foundation. He is also an active member in the following APICS committees
- Certification, and Collaboration.
Eric was honored to receive the APICS Voluntary Service Award presented
at the International Conference in Kansas City in 2005.
As an instructor of APICS courses, Eric is a Qualified Lead Instructor for Certified Production and
Inventory Management (CPIM) and Qualified Associate Instructor Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
courses for the Chicago chapter.
