Dr. Edward F. Stuart
Professor of Economics, NEIU

Economic Outlook 2010
The January 21 Professional Development Meeting on the 2010 Economic Outlook, which was extremely well received, was centered on what were and what will be the major macroeconomic forces and moves that are likely to affect the US economy in 2010.
This Webinar will further discuss those moves, and their likely effect.

Dr. Stuart has famously stated, "While it is hoped that every economic problem will have a solution, it is certain that every economic solution will have its own problems." On Tuesday, February 9, we will ask Dr. Stuart which of the solutions from last year will bring relief in 2010, and what will be the problems that are likely to be associated with those solutions.

Edward Stuart is a Professor of Economics and International/Intercultural Studies at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to numerous 2009 speaking engagements, and articles, in 2009 Dr. Stuart was twice a guest on WTTW's Chicago Tonight program where he addressed questions regarding the Obama Budget, and the effectiveness of the Obama Administration's economic actions.

Dr. Stuart earned his PH.D. in Economics at the University of Oklahoma and has been a member of the faculty at NEIU since 1986. Dr. Stuart has been a visiting guest professor at the University of Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria, the Urals State Pedagogical University in Ekaterinburg, Russia, the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Warsaw.  He teaches courses in International Economics, The Economics of the European Union, Comparative Economic Systems, European Economic History, and Macroeconomic Theory. Dr. Stuart is also Chair of the Faculty Advisory Committee on International Programs.
