Women in Operations Management
Steps that will advance your career. How to break into management. Things
you can do to inspire the confidence of the people you work with. These are not
gender specific concerns.
In fact, most of the issues that are part
of day-to-day Operations Management are not gender specific, or
"women's" concerns and issues per se, however women often bring a
different perspective, than that of their male counterparts, to the many
considerations that make-up Operations Management. Not the least of these
issues has been how to break the 'glass-ceiling' -- and when broken, how to help
pull other women past it. Hear from women who are successful Operations
Professionals. The considerations that will be discussed are important for
anyone in or considering a career in Operations. APICS members and other
Operations professionals, University faculty, staff and students from NEIU and
from all other area Universities and Colleges are invited and encouraged to
attend.
