Company Information   The Product Line Specialist is the subject matter expert in the technical and commercial applications. In this role, the Specialist develops and delivers technical and commercial training, conducts product line forecasting, conducts ongoing competitive and market analysis and oversees the implementation of commercialization and vitality initiatives to meet the product line revenue targets. The Specialist will play a key role in providing commercial support to the Product Line Manager including implementing pricing strategies, developing pricing and margin targets on non-standard product requests, and developing collateral and tools to equip the sales organization and channel partners.
Job Duties   Define robust and effective commercialization plans and project manage the implementation of commercialization activities for all New Product Development launches to ensure attainment of financial objectives within launch timelines. Manage product vitality; define and implement vitality initiatives to mitigate gaps in product launch targets. Develop sales tools and collateral to equip field sales, inside sales and channel partners for success. Implement value-added selling, fight sheets, training collateral, presentations, videos, road shows, events and other commercialization activities. Ensure all marketing and sales collateral reflects current product line with accurate data. Conduct ongoing competitive and market analysis. Lead competitive benchmarking sessions, prepare competitive product feature comparison spreadsheets, prepare competitive pricing analysis and conduct ongoing market insight. Synthesize insight for input into product road maps, value selling, market positioning and strategic planning. Prepare annual price recommendations to ensure attainment of revenue and margin targets. Update all collateral, tools and online applications to ensure accurate and timely pricing. Prepare pricing and margin analysis on non-standard work. Provide technical and application training to sales, customer service and application engineers to enable stakeholders to successfully apply content and learnings into their respective disciplines. Conduct train-the-trainer sessions with sales associates to enable them to train customers as needed. Conduct market insight, synthesize finding and prepare recommendations and formal report outs. Conduct and prepare market analysis for planning initiatives. Participate in sales funnels calls and financial waterfall calls as requested. Lead the syntheses and reporting of product-line revenue and bookings to ensure accurate projections for financial planning. Work with Engineering, Manufacturing and suppliers as needed to support VAVE and supply chain initiatives impacting product development, pricing or margin.
Skills/Knowledge   Bachelorís degree in Marketing, Engineering or related field is required Previous technical or commercial experience with linear mechanical components Proficient with MS Excel / Word / PowerPoint Prior Marketing / Product Management experience is preferred Strong project management and implementation skills Prior use of Oracle or similar ERP program; strong analytical skills
