What is Happening with the USMCA?

A Global Pandemic, a Presidential election year, protests in the streets, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, derecho, and wildfires. A midst all that has and is happening, back in July of this year, the USMCA went into effect. Some have termed it the New NAFTA, in Canada it is called the CUSMA, regardless of how it is referred to, the USMCA is designed to strengthen the trading relationships between the US and two of its' largest trading partners, forming the foundation for economic growth and prosperity for each of the participants.

Even though it has only been months since becoming effective, what has happend so far... and of primary importance, what do manufacturers, distributors, and shippers need to know to successfully operate under the terms of the new agreement? Where can you find compliance information, and how easy or hard will it be to comply? What important elements, such as proof-of-origin, do you  need to be familar with? In addition, it will be useful to know the benefits and risks. Join us for this Have Lunch with APICS-Chicago webinar when our presenter, Larry French, will bring us up to speed on the USCMCA - what's happening, and what you need to know. USMCA will be in force for sixteen years - Now is the time to gain valuable insights into solution sets that you can apply in your work place and to your Supply Chain network.

*This is a Have Lunch with APICS-Chicago Webinar; and therefore, we will be attempting to have lunch together, even though the together part will be online. The following details what APICS-Chicago is able to provide in the way of a lunch, as well as how providing you with a lunch will work -
What's for lunch --
    • Lunch will be provided by Jimmy John's
    • You will be able to select one the 8" Jimmy John's "Originals' or 'Favorites' as described in the APICS-Chicago Selection Menu (link provided below), you may also select the type of Bread, the Chips, and the Cookie you would like - You have to provide your own beverage.
    • To make this work, modifications to the sandwich (other than type of bread) will NOT be available.
How Lunch will work --
    •  Scroll to the bottom of the page - below the Documents section and Click-on the link labeled APICS-CHICAGO SELECTION MENU to download a .pdf
    •  Use the APICS-Chicago Selection Menu to guide your lunch selections
    •  Select the type of Sandwich, the type of Bread you want your sandwich on, the type of Chips, and the type of Cookie (doesn't everyone choose chocolate chip?). Sorry, you will have to supply your own beverage.
    •  When you have completed the registration process, a page will display with a link to a Google form to capture your lunch selections
    •  Click-on the link to the form and fill-in your information and your selections. After reading Thank You message at end, close tab.
    •  Three things:
       1) Sorry, with the exception of the Bread selection, sandwiches come as described in the APICS-Chicago Selection Menu - we cannot make modifications
       2) Please order when you complete the registration process. APICS-Chicago will schedule all sandwiches to be delivered at Noon on Tuesday, Octobert 13th, but we are unable to work Jimmy John's order process fast enough to put them all in on Tuessay, October 13 - so it is a big help to have your order as soon as possible to enable us to rationally schedule the ordering process on our end. - thanks. Note - we have added phone# to the order form to enable calling if there is a delivery issue.
3)Log-in information for the Webinar will be sent at 10:45A the day of the event
